Mother-ease is pleased to introduce its revolutionary All in Two nappy. The Wizard Duo Absorbent Fitted Insert snaps into the Duo Cover to make a nappy which goes on all at once. More economical and great absorbency, you will love the performance of this high tech nappy and cover combination.

The Wizard Duo all in two cloth nappy combines the absorbent inner with the cover by snapping them together before use, or apart for washing. Once combined they are as convenient to use as an all in one nappy.

You can save $$$ by buying only as many covers as you’d like to have on hand. Very absorbent and more economical than an all in one. The Duo just makes cloth nappying simple.

Duo Absorbent Inserts

The Duo Absorbent Insert is actually a fully finished fitted nappy which utilizes the covers’ snaps to close. The inside surface layer of the Duo Absorbent Insert is a specially designed stay dry fabric. Upon contact moisture is immediately drawn through the pores to the inner absorbent core. The stay dry fabric is buttery soft and easy to clean. Baby is left feeling dry and happy with reduced incidence of rash development.

The ultra high tech core is specially designed to be super absorbent. It is patent protected and available only to Mother-ease for cloth nappies. It will absorb 1.7 times the amount of any competing absorbent insert (by weight).

Note: Cotton and Bamboo terry options do not have Stay Dry or the ultra absorbent core.

Duo Covers

Fully elasticized all the way around and finished with a stay dry binding the Duo Insert gently hugs your baby. With the absorbent component separated through the legs from the cover, 2 lines of defense against leaks are created.

The absorbent component’s fully elasticized edge moves independently of the cover to conform to your baby while gently providing leakage protection. Superior containment by the insert is very important in an All in Two system because it means there’s a better chance you can reuse the cover, and that means you need to buy fewer covers.

Snaps/Adjustability

The Duo Absorbent inserts snap into the Duo covers and are available in two sizes- XSm/Sm which fit into the XSm and Sm covers and Med/Lg which fit into the Med and Lg covers respectively. Or a OneSize Absorbent Insert fitting into the Sm, Med and Lg Duo covers.

The Duo Insert fastens securely into the Duo cover with 6 snaps. The insert is unable to slide around and no further adjustment is needed. Once the Insert has been snapped into the cover the Duo closes through a series of adjustable snaps across the waist front for a perfect fit within its size range- XSm- Lg.

Washing & Drying

Ease and thoroughness of wash ability was a top objective in the development of the Wizard line. The Duo simply snaps apart and can be washed as a separate garment or it can be left snapped together in which case the heavier inner separates itself from the lighter cover. Water extraction during the spin cycle is maximized as the insert turns itself towards the drum of the machine and drying times are minimized.

Booster Access

The Wizard Duo cloth nappy has a large opening at the legs that is perfectly suited for stuffing an absorbent liner/booster between the absorbent insert and the cover. This is great for naps, overnight or any time you need a little extra absorbency.

Snaps/Adjustability

The Duo cover is equipped with 6 snaps to which the absorbent insert is attached. It then closes on the baby like an All in One nappy with an adjustable row of snaps across the front of the nappy.

Wick Resistant Binding and defense against leaks

The Duo cover’s wick resistant binding has a unique quality that helps reduce liquid from wicking from the inside of the nappy to the outer clothing. This means your nappy will work better for longer to keep what’s in the nappy, in the nappy.
Second line of defense:
The cover component of the Duo is your second line of defense. Should a mess ever get past the absorbent insert it will be contained by the separately elasticized cover. With the cover not attached to the absorbent component through the leg area, the two can work independently of each other to achieve maximum leakage protection.

Washability

The Duo cover can be reused a number of times by simply snapping in a clean absorbent insert. For washing it may be unsnapped and wiped clean or hand washed or machine washed with your nappies at 60 degrees C.

Mother-ease Duo Covers

Waterproof outer: The leak proof fabric is a soft 100% polyester knit. It's coated on one side with a thin layer ot polyurethane laminate (PUL) making it beautifully soft and effectively waterproof. This fabric is machine washable and very quick to dry.

It is available in white, gold, yellow, blue, aqua, Oceans and Savannah prints.

The Wizard Duo is sized for a perfect fit. The covers come in four sizes: XS, Small, Med, and Large. I loved the simplicity of them and am surprised more washable nappies don’t have the pop in and out insert style – it makes alot of sense. I use quite a variety of washable nappies with my 2yr old – itti bitti, totsbots, pikapu, and mini lala and this would be the first time I would use an insert that pops in and out – they look so easy to use .

The bamboo absorber feels gorgeous and immediatley I thought that willl be the best to use. After the first initial couple of washes the polyester dries the quickest followed by the cotton and then the bamboo, so if the weather isn’t that great you would have to be prepared for the bamboo to take a couple of days to dry.

My baby was born 31st July and I first tried to use them when he was 3 weeks old weighing 3.9kg (clothed weight) but they are too big. The length comes up to his chest and around the tops of his legs aren’t tight enough to seal. I tried them again at the 5 week mark (4.1kg) and they fit him really well. The extra few grams made such a difference. We have had a few leaks with big poos but i think that would have happened with disposables too. I am also using one size AIO in a different brand and I have found that whilst he is so little, your nappies work the best because they are sized. More than one cover is required for 3 inserts as it gets quite wet and dirty (with poos) and so I had to use other nappies whist it dried. It is easily washed and does dry very quickly though. All 3 inserts have been lovely against his skin, no signs of nappy rash and although the bamboo is the softest I would proberbly go for the polyester and cotton inserts as they dry quicker (within a day), even inside the house.

All in all fantastic nappies, would definatly buy more, and absolutly recommend them.

It fits very nicely. I can even fit stretchy jeans over it. No gaps around legs or waist. No leaks. I originally thought i had to have it tighter than it was, but it dosent need to be overly tight to have a snug fit. Once I got the fitting right on second use no marks on legs from elastic of nappie or cover. Aso still fits well with extra boosters inserted.

It is easy to put on and use. Takes a slight bit more amount of time to use the clips, but advantage is that gives you a really secure fit and cover goes exactly over the edges stopping leaks and you just clip once on baby – not clip or fold nappy then clip cover separately. When out and about or if there is a messy ppo it is a bit of a hassle to and takes longer to pull the nappy off, change insert then put back on if you are using only the one cover with multiple nappies. I personally would buy more covers for convenience but can see the advantage in cost and bulkiness saving to just use the one with 2 or 3 nappies. Cover also has been fine to resuse twice in one day and no smell building up.

It's very easy to wash, cover and nappy just in normal rinse and wash with my other nappies. I leave cover clipped to nappy on one end to make sure water circulates around it fully. It is one of the longest drying nappies I have but it’s bamboo and has advantage of being very absorbent.

No leaks so far, even just after a bottle. 3 lasted me all day.ie from about 9am to 6pm. I also used at night with extra boosters and had no leaks.

The fit is alright. My only concern is that the crotch is very wide and so the elastic leaves marks around bub's legs. My other nappies usually sit closer and so sit in nicely in the hip crease. Due to the wide crotch the nappy looks very large in comparison to our other sized nappies. (Bub is around 10.5kg) Having said that, the nappy was surprisingly trim and not bulky in the least.

The nappy is very easy to wash and snap on. I like that the snaps are covered. Some of the inserts had their tag on the inside (touching bub's skin) which I didn't like but one insert had the tag on the outside (in between the cover and the insert) which I preferred.

Reliability - fantastic. Absorbency - fantastic. The longest we've used it is 4 hours. We tried the nappy overnight and it was fantastic. CJ is a very heavy wetter but these held up well for 12 hours (with an additional booster).

I absolutely love the softness and texture of the bamboo and cotton inserts and they are my favourites! Very happy with the nappy :)
